William Onono is a career Diplomat with a BSc. International Diplomacy, from Masinde Muliro University, Kenya. William is currently working as a protocol officer with the Kenya Airports Authority. He has carried out research on the impact of conflict in Somalia and its effect on Kenya. He is interested in human rights protection and advocacy, international political economy, youth capacity building and empowerment, economic integration of a diverse, but nationally based workforce into production patterns that can span several sovereign jurisdictions and world regions, and youth empowerment through activism. He is particularly interested in learning more about the Human Rights-Based Approach in the Context of Food Security and Poverty Eradication, as well as the involvement of youths in human rights campaigns to promote democratic elections and universal human rights in the protection of current global issues such as racism, sexism, and LGBTQI rights. He was involved in the organizing of the Global Blue Economy Conference in Kenya 2018, where he managed the event’s effective execution.
